Tutorial #4: Sharing with Family and Friends
Sharing the Magic: How to Share Your Projector With Family and Friends
One of the best things about Projector — beyond streaming your home movies and photo albums on your TV just like Netflix — is the ability to share your Projector with others. Whether it’s your parents, kids, grandparents, or long-distance friends, they can access your memories from their own TV, no matter where they are.
You can view this video tutorial here.

It’s Like Netflix — But for Your Life
Projector delivers a TV-centric experience. No likes, no comments, no social media noise — just the joy of watching personal memories on the big screen with the ease of a remote control. You can watch your Projector, and you can watch Projectors others have shared with you.
And here’s the magic: There’s no limit to how many Projectors you can access.
How Sharing Works
To share your Projector, log in to your account at projectorstream.com. We recommend using Chrome for the best performance.
- Click on the Account Menu and go to your Content Dashboard.
- On the left-hand side, select the Viewers tab.
- Here you can see everyone you’ve shared with — or send a new invite.
To Invite Someone:
- Enter their email address.
- If they already have a Projector account, they’ll receive an email to accept your invitation.
- If they don’t have an account, they’ll get a link to create a free viewer account.

✨ Viewer accounts are totally free if someone only wants to watch your content and not upload their own.
Once they accept your invite, your Projector appears in their account — and on their TV — just like their own. They can switch between Projectors with ease.
Managing Shared Access
Every Projector account includes a built-in tutorial Projector, which you can remove at any time. You also have full control over who can see what:
- Create Groups to share specific content with specific people (e.g., “Family,” “High School Friends,” “Grandparents”).
- Set Visibility per video or album:
- All viewers
- Only me
- Specific group
For example, you might want a vacation video to be visible to your entire family, but a high school reunion clip might only be shared with close friends from that era.
Real-World Magic: Families Staying Connected
Imagine this: You upload a new video of your kids playing soccer. That video instantly becomes available to your parents, who live across the country. No tech headaches. No fumbling with links or cloud storage. Just turn on the TV and press play.
Why Projector Is Different
Unlike traditional social platforms, Projector isn’t about broadcasting. It’s about meaningful, private connection. It’s built for families, for memory-keepers, for people who value storytelling over scrolling.
Projector brings people together — across distances and generations — through the memories that matter most.
Start sharing today, and let your loved ones experience the magic of home movies on TV, wherever they are.
